Vista Update

So, if you actually read this blog, you're probably wondering... how's Mike's Vista experience going?

Well, I'm guessing you really don't care actually, but I'll have you know it's going much better than expected. Because I'm running a single core 64bit AMD Proc, I expected the system to be a little sluggish, and it's not Russian fast (see previous blog), but it is quick.

I'm pretty happy with it. My only disappointment so far has been that Nvidia hasn't released their nView program for Vista yet. That means I can't span my desktop background without purchasing a different program.

To be honest, though, I'm actually happier with this $40 program than I ever was with the Nvidia software. UltraMon is the application I'm referring to and it's got some pretty sweet features. You can span the start bar and have the programs you're using on each monitor show up only on that task bar. It makes more sense when you use it, but it's damned useful.
