The time has come

I'm going to do it... I'm going to upgrade to Vista.

I decided long ago that I would move to Vista. I wanted to wait until the time was right... I feel that time has come.

What I was waiting for:
1. to finish a couple of my major projects
2. to get a full version of Adobe CS3
3. to have some free time

I've met those criteria... My only fear is that once I've upgraded my OS I'll use it as an excuse to upgrade my rig. I've already decided that I'm going to upgrade to a Core 2 Quad soon. I'm just waiting for the prices to drop a little more. I've got my heart set on an upgrade that would only set me back $800 right now, but I'm waiting for that to drop below $500...

I'm really excited about setting up Adobe CS3 on Vista. I can't wait to play around with some of the new programs. I've only used the CS3 versions of Flash, Photoshop, Dremweaver, Premiere, Soundbooth, and Encore... I'm eager to dive into InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects, and most exciting of all, Ultra...

I feel like CS3 is giving me a new gateway into the professional world that I've yet to explore. My goal now is to complete my last few projects and clear my slate to assemble my portfolio online.

Once I've completed my online portfolio I feel like I'll be ready to expand my business and start making some real money.

This is the start of something good.
