Ok, so I read this article today about ravers in Russia losing their eyesight due to laser exposure. Apparently, the folks running the show had a high powered laser under a tarp and the beam refracted into at least 12 people's eyes. The result: permanent blindness. That's right. Some of these folks will never see again.
The article says that the people in charge of setting up the laser show were illiterate... Can you imagine? Hey, can you read? No? That's fine, just set up these expensive lasers. Be careful though, they're very powerful and could result in, well, it's all in the manual.
I'll be the guy setting up the lasers did it on purpose because he was sick of people heckling him for not being able to read. "I'll show you who can't read!"
