I'm in my intro to communication technology class... or as my Korean professor says "technolage" ...that's Tech Knowledge... and he's not just being cute... it's the only way he can say it.
Frequently, he just starts mumbling to himself about stuff... It's completely incoherent... here is an example:
"umm, ok, (smacks lips) uhh, so, what does that indicate? in the past the program providers... it's kinda different... they have more choices... ummm, ok. some different options. the cable company. in use of... in offering DVR services. ok. so. there could be some (mumble) I could dismiss all of them. some have larger channels of company. and you can purchase, like shopping, which is connected through the cable. I like that furniture. maybe I can purchase some. I'm not quite sure that like, maybe you're watching that sitcom Friends and you like that shirt that woman is wearing... that's what they're trying to do. so DVR gives us these changes and differences in the light of TV consumption."
I shit you not... I just typed that as he said it. He's still going, but now he's talking about music CDs in computers and 6million megabytes or something... wow...

Brain numbing
So, my Intro to Communication Technology professor has a computer with 512mb of memory and 200mb of hard drive space. Also there are exactly 1000 bytes in a kilobyte...
I'm going to go home and take a drill to my frontal lobe. I swear I could teach this class in my sleep.
[I think I know where he's hiding the 24 extra bytes]

What are the limitations of the internet?
This question was posed in class today... I was really tempted to raise my hand and state "The internet is a series of tubes"...
:sigh:
