My Music Collection
I deleted 3 quarters of music my and I love my iPod now...
It turns out that there is a lot of music that I like, but a much smaller amount that I love.
I highly recommend taking the time to evaluate your music collection and try only putting the songs you really want to hear on your MP3 device... it makes me happy... who knows, it might work for you too.

Good music
I'm currently enjoying the hell out of Guster, particularly the song Happier... You should have a listen.

MP3s
I've found that downloading LEGAL music makes my iPod more enjoyable.
For example, back in the day, I used to have so many MP3s that I NEVER liked to listen to. I had them because it seemed like the rage back in high school was to amass as large an MP3 collection as possible... Now, however, I've found that I'm far more picky about the MP3s I put on my player. This is due to two things. First, these puppies are about a buck a piece. I figure that I should be a little more picky for this reason. Additionally, I'm sick of hitting the skip button on my iPod. Why put on songs you don't want to listen to?
I used to think that I needed to have the whole album if I wanted to have a single MP3 from an artist. This is just not the case. If you don't like the other 13 tracks, DON'T BUY THEM! Just get what you want to listen to.
This is the joy of modern music technology.
I've found that Amazon.com seems to be the best way to get music. It's less expensive than iTunes and the songs are DRM FREE!
