Addicted to my phone.

So, I find that I am far more connected than before. It's not like I didn't have a smart phone before... it's just that my new phone (Evo Shift) is so much faster and has so many more options/apps... I don't know how I lived with my Pre for so long... sorry, Palm.... google has stolen another of your fan boys...

I think I broke the internet...

Every time I want to do a google search, I end up typing google into google... I think it's causing some sort of infinite recursion which will inevitably result in the downfall of the internet.

(I also wonder how many of you are headed over to google.com to do the same...)

Google Chrome hits another home run

Seriously, the new bookmark sync feature is awesome. I've never been happier to have sold my soul to Google.

History in the making...

Holy crap. Andrew just introduced me to one of Google Chrome's greatest and most powerful features. I had no idea about this feature until moments ago, and I think its quite noteworthy.

Chrome has a hotkey to re-open closed tabs. That's right. Ever close a tab and wish you hadn't? I sure have. Ctrl+shift+T, my friend. Oops, you closed 3/5 tabs and you wanted all of them open?! No sweat! Just hold ctrl+shift and tap T 3 times... No worries!

Seriously, this is a powerful little trick that might save your ass some day.

And you thought that tab was history...

Picasa 3

I've been a long time fan of Picasa, so I downloaded Picasa 3 about a week ago and I've been rather impressed with it.

There are tuns of new features that are great for anyone who wants a free alternative to Photoshop. Clearly, this is not a product designed for the cheapskate Photoshop user... It's not a replacement for tools you already know how to use in Photoshop; however, if you're one of those people who needs to crop, rotate, or otherwise tweak your photos, Picasa 3 is for you!

My favorite new feature is the replacement for Microsoft's Windows Photo Gallery... It allows you to quickly preview images and make minor tweaks without loading the full version of Picasa... Not that Picasa takes a long time to load, but this slim application is practically instant.

If you don't have it... get it!

Firefox vs Chrome

Ok, so after extensive use of Chrome over the past week, I've decided that, although I love Chrome, it's not quite ready for use.

That is unless you're OK with never going to pages that show YouTube videos... Yeah... last I checked, Google owned YouTube, but Chrome doesn't seem to like the YouTube player... or any Flash based players for that matter. And heaven forbid you try to access a page with several YouTube videos on it. MySpace pages bring Chrome to a screeching halt!

The good news is that this is the first release, and I'm sure that the Google Team is working out the kinks. I'm looking forward to the next release, but until then, I'm going to stick with Firefox... Man, Firefox feels bulky now....
